Methionine deficiency is rare, but it can occur in some individuals
Methionine Deficiency Symptoms
Symptoms of methionine deficiency include:
- Apathy
- Fatty liver
- Fluid retention
- Loss of muscle and fat tissue
- Skin lesions
- Slow wound repairs
- Weakness
- Whitening of the hair
People with any of these symptoms should seek advice from their medical practitioner to determine if methionine supplementation is required.
