Arginine Benefits

Arginine's benefits include:

  • Arginine stimulates the thymus gland and helps to fortify the immune system and helps to heal wounds more quickly
Arginine helps to stimulate the thymus gland. The thymus gland is where the T-cells mature, after which they become an active part of the immune system. Arginine helps to fortify the immune system by boosting the infection-fighting activity of the white blood cells, as well as other parts of the immune system, so it may be beneficial in some disorders. Arginine, in its role as a booster to the immune system, help it to heal any wounds much more quickly and speed up recovery from any accidents or illness.

  • Arginine helps to detoxify the liver and prevent fatty liver
Arginine assists in detoxifying the liver by neutralising ammonia, so it helps with liver conditions such as cirrhosis. Arginine also properly metabolises fats in the liver to prevent the condition fatty liver.
  • Some studies show arginine inhibits cancer growth
There are some studies which show that arginine, in laboratory tests with animals, helps to shrink some tumours and stop cancer from progressing to other sites in the body.
  • Arginine stimulates the release of human growth hormone (HGH)
Arginine is one of the amino acids that is involved in the stimulation of release of the human growth hormone (HGH) from the anterior pituitary gland. The HGH is released naturally especially during childhood and peaks at around age 23, after which it is not produced as much. HGH increases fat metabolism, lean muscle increases, increases healing time, gives more elasticity to the skin and enhances immune function.
