Glutamine has interactions with the following medications and supplements:

  • Chemotherapy medications
    People undergoing chemotherapy (using medications such as cisplatin, cyclophosphamide, docetaxel, fluorouracil, methotrexate, paclitaxel) may benefit from taking glutamine supplementation, as research shows that glutamine may decrease the duration and severity of many of the side effects associated with chemotherapy. People who are undergoing chemotherapy and who wish to try glutamine supplements should consult their doctor for advice being trying them.
