Vitamins are necessary and essential for good health and need to be taken in the form of food in the diet as the body cannot make them. You need to eat food with all of these vitamins every single day!
Water Soluble Vitamins
The following are all the water-soluble vitamins you need to have in the food in your diet every day:
- Vitamin B1 (thiamin)
- Vitamin B2 (riboflavin)
- Vitamin B3 (niacin)
- Vitamin B5 (pantothenic acid)
- Vitamin B6 (pyridoxine)
- Vitamin B12 (cobalamin)
- Vitamin C
- Vitamin H (biotin)
- Choline
- Folic acid (folate)
- Inositol

There are a number of water soluble vitamins, which dissolve in water. There are a number of fat soluble vitamins which require some fat to enable their digestion and absorption
Fat Soluble Vitamins
There are also a number of fat-soluble vitamins, which require some fat to enable their digestion and absorption. These vitamins are stored in the fat tissue of the body when they are in excess:
- Betacarotene
- Vitamin A
- Vitamin D
- Vitamin E
