CSIRO Total Wellbeing Diet Foods Restricted

The CSIRO diet bans or restricts a number of foods which are high in saturated fat as well as some carbohydrates in the first phase. Once people get to the second phase, they are allowed to introduce some more carbohydrates into the diet each week.

Phase1 Foods Restrited

  • High saturated fat meats
  • Cheese
  • Butter
  • Cream
  • Some fruits
  • Wholegrain breads and baked products
  • Potatoes

Phase 2 Foods Restricted

  • As for phase one plus more carbohydrates added each week
